Frequently Asked Questions
Will resurfacing my bath affect my plumbing and tiling?
No, in most cases the bath can be resurfaced in it’s current position without taking the taps off or affecting the tiling.
How long does it take to do?
Obviously, each job is different, but as a guide, resurfacing a standard white bath would take about 6-8 hours.
When can we use the bath?
Your bath is ready to use 24 hours after re enamelling.
What do we have to do to prepare for your arrival?
The only thing you need to do is remove your personal items from the bathroom.
How long is the waiting list?
We can usually book new customers in within a week to 10 days.
Can you change the colour of the bath?
Yes. As we will create a completely new surface, there is no problem in changing the colour.
How do I clean the bath after it’s been resurfaced?
You will find your new bath really easy to keep clean. The technician will explain this to you in more details, but you can basically use any of the standard liquid bath cleaners with a white bathroom scouring sponge or cloth.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. Your newly resurfaced bath is guaranteed for a full 2 years. We use the highest quality materials available and you can expect many years of use from your newly resurfaced bath. We have over 25 years of experience and thousands of happy customers.
If I accidentally damage the bath, can you repair it without having to redo the whole bath?
Yes. But this does depend on the extent of the damage. Small areas can be repaired invisibly, or in exceptional circumstances, we can redo the whole bath.
I’m thinking of replacing the tiles above the bath; should I get the bath re enamelled before or after tiling?
We recommend you get the tiling done first. Tile down onto the bath but leave out any silicon sealant.
I want to replace the taps – when should this be done?
There are two ways of approaching this: 1. You can replace them first, but please don’t bed them in with silicone; you can use plumbers mate or gaskets if you wish. OR 2. Take the old taps off, let us re-surface the bath, and replace the new taps when we’ve finished. We can normally schedule this to fit in with the plumber. The above would also apply to the replacement of the waste and plug area.
How much does it cost?
As every job is different, it would be impossible to give a price without more information about your bath. But if you phone us, we will give you an immediate price on the phone, after briefly discussing the job with you. There is no cost, or any form of obligation for this.
